Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. She is currently the president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and later owned the Lakers and various other sports organizations. In 1972, her parents split together and she felt left out. When she was 19 years old, she took over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. In the future she founded her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President of the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and his control over control of the Lakers was passed on to Buss as well as her siblings by a trust of the family that gave each sibling equal voting rights. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also co-owns Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with headquarter in Los Angeles.
